The fitness paradox
You obsess over Apple Health rings and order paracetamol from a dark warehouse 4 km away. Zero steps for an errand that is a 6-minute walk.
The 10-minute delivery app stole every walkable errand on your street. Loknira gives them back: reserve milk, paracetamol or bread at a nearby shop, walk over, save against quick-commerce markups, and earn StepCoins on a real purchase.
We see three broken things on the same street. Loknira fixes the loop between them.
You obsess over Apple Health rings and order paracetamol from a dark warehouse 4 km away. Zero steps for an errand that is a 6-minute walk.
Your neighborhood store is 200 m away. They have lost 30-40% of revenue to quick-commerce. They cannot compete on speed, but on price, they always win.
Nothing today connects I need bread to walk 400 m to save ₹38 and hit your step goal. Loknira is that bridge.
Loknira is not trying to be city-wide on day one. The first version is built to make one locality work honestly, then repeat the playbook.
V1 launches in one society only after at least three useful stores are ready: kirana, pharmacy, and one daily-needs shop.
Stock is green only after the merchant confirms it. If nobody replies, Loknira says usually in stock and keeps the risk visible.
StepCoins are earned after a geofenced shop visit and counter payment. Steps alone are not the product.
There is no transaction commission in V1. The first milestone is repeat walk-purchases, not squeezing stores too early.
Milk, paracetamol, hardware bolts. We show stores within 600 m with real, live stock, not stale catalog data.
Tap the big terracotta button. The shopkeeper gets a confirmation prompt, and pilot ops can assist over WhatsApp until the habit is reliable.
The route picks shaded paths and clean air over the shortest line. Your steps are GPS-verified.
Scan the shop's QR, pay UPI. Savings and StepCoins are recorded after payment confirmation, so rewards stay tied to a real walk-purchase.
"Doctor said walk 30 min a day. Now I do, and the BP medicine costs 18% less."
Managing BP, diabetes, joint pain. You already know Sharma uncle by name. We give you a reason to keep that relationship and feed it into a cleaner health habit.
"Quick-commerce guilt is real. I traded it for a leaderboard with my building."
You track macros and PRs. You also feel the slow rot of being indoors all day. Loknira makes errands a small competition with neighbors.
Priya adds milk. Mehta uncle adds sugar. You add bread. This is the V2 group-walk loop: bigger baskets for stores, a social reason to walk, and bonus StepCoins for neighbours who go together.
You have to be physically at the store, scan its QR, and pay UPI. We cross-check GPS path against your step rate.
Start with in-app stock confirmation and founder-led onboarding. Voice-note stocking, ONDC, and credit products come after traction.
List your shop →We onboard you manually and start with a simple promise: bring the first real walk-in customers back from your own locality. You confirm stock in the merchant app, with founder assistance during the first pilot.
Loknira only shows a green confirmed status after the merchant confirms. If a confirmed item still fails, the app suggests a substitute or nearby store, and the merchant trust score takes the hit.
Because it is not really free. You are paying more on average, paying with your sedentary hours, and quietly killing the shop on your own street. Loknira makes the cheap, healthy, local option easy.
No. Rewards are gated on geofenced QR scans at the shop counter. Steps are cross-checked against the GPS path. 10,000 steps in 2 minutes flags instantly.
The current product rule is 100 StepCoins = ₹1 inside Loknira checkout. They are not externally cashable; that keeps the reward simple and inside the local commerce loop.
Not in the V1 pilot. The first job is proving repeat walk-purchases in one locality with a few reliable stores. Monetization comes only after the loop works.
Pilot launch is planned for select Bengaluru localities: HSR, Indiranagar, and Koramangala. Joining the waitlist tells us where to go next.
Join the Loknira beta. Walk to the first errand, save against quick-commerce markups, and watch StepCoins land after the purchase is confirmed.
Join the waitlist for your locality. We ping you when nearby stores are live.
